About these chores & Kids Routine Chart sheets
The three sheets here cover children's daily routines from preschool through early teens, each built around a fixed sequence of steps with space to tick, fill, or draw. "My Morning Helper Chart" targets the youngest children with a picture-friendly morning sequence. "Ready & Rested: Ages 5–8" adds a bedtime routine and a full week of tick boxes alongside the morning steps. "After School & Done" shifts to the afternoon and introduces timed slots that balance homework, chores, and free time.
Choosing between them
Choose "My Morning Helper Chart" if your child is between three and seven and needs pictures to follow along independently before they read fluently. Move to "Ready & Rested: Ages 5–8" when your child can read simple words and you want one sheet to cover both the morning and bedtime routine across the whole week, which suits families trying to reduce repeated reminders at both ends of the day. "After School & Done" fits children aged eight and up who come home to a mix of homework and household jobs and need a clear, timed order to work through without constant prompting.
What each sheet contains
“My Morning Helper Chart” is the step list layout — eight ordered steps in large type, each row with a number, an empty box to draw a picture in and a big tick box, a name line at the top and an all-done line at the foot. Its steps run to eight entries, starting with “Wake up and stretch”, “Go to the toilet” and “Wash your face and hands”.
“Ready & Rested: Ages 5–8” is the two routines layout — two routines side by side — morning on the left, bedtime on the right — six numbered steps each with a tick box, a name line at the top and a row of seven day boxes under each column. Its left steps run to six entries, starting with “Get dressed”, “Make your bed” and “Eat breakfast”.
“After School & Done” is the time strip layout — eight steps in a tall table with a blank time column on the left, the step in the middle and a large tick box on the right, a day field at the top and a notes box at the foot. Its steps run to eight entries, starting with “Arrive home — shoes & bag away”, “Wash hands, have a snack” and “Empty lunchbox, rinse containers”.
Printing
Each of the three chores & Kids Routine Chart sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
