What this sheet is for

This sheet is for someone who has decided to make morning cardio a fixed part of the day — running, cycling, rowing, or any steady-effort session — and needs a simple paper record to keep the habit honest. Reach for it at the start of each training week, fill in the date, and let the grid hold you accountable when motivation is low.

How to use it

Write the Monday date in the Week of field at the top right. Each morning, tick the boxes in the eight habit rows as you complete them — from waking at your target time through logging distance or time and drinking water afterward. At the end of the week, count consecutive ticked cardio rows and enter the number in the Cardio streak (days) box. Then sit with the End-of-week reflection section: answer each of the three prompts in a sentence or two to carry one concrete improvement into the following week.

What is printed on the page

“Morning Cardio Week Tracker” is laid out as weekly grid: eight habit rows against seven day columns of large tick boxes, a streak count box, and a three-prompt reflection for the week. Under the title it reads “Track seven daily habits for building a consistent morning cardio routine.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Missing one day is normal; missing two in a row is the pattern to break. Plan tomorrow's session tonight.”.

The habit labels slot holds eight entries — “Wake up at target time”, “Warm-up 5 min (dynamic)”, “Cardio session completed”, “Stayed in target HR zone” and “Cooldown & stretch 5 min” and three more — so the sheet is already filled in for fitness rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The reflection prompts slot holds three entries — “Which session felt strongest, and why?”, “What cut a session short or stopped it?” and “One change to make next week:” — so the sheet is already filled in for fitness rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Week of” for the week label, “Cardio streak (days)” for the streak heading and “End-of-week reflection” for the reflection heading.

Two things about this particular weekly grid are settings rather than text, and “Morning Cardio Week Tracker” has them set like this. Start sunday is off: start the week on Sunday instead of Monday. Reflection box is on: include the reflection box at the foot.

Tips

Tick 'Slept 7+ hrs night before' each morning — poor sleep predicts skipped sessions better than any other row.

Write your target heart rate range in the margin beside row four so you can check it without searching elsewhere.

If you miss a cardio session, cross the box rather than leaving it blank; seeing the pattern is more useful than hiding it.

The other layouts in this set

“Morning Cardio Week Tracker” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Strength Training Habit Tracker” uses the 30-day grid layout and “Daily Step Count Habit” uses the single habit layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
