Who this sheet is for
This sheet is for a household that shops on multiple days throughout the week and wants to plan each trip's items, store section, and estimated cost before leaving home. Where the 'Pantry Restock Week' planner focuses on a concentrated restock effort, this format suits routine, day-by-day shopping spread across a full week.
What this sheet is for
This sheet is for anyone who shops across several days rather than one big weekly trip — or who wants to map out exactly what is needed each day before heading out. It suits households managing a tight budget, reducing food waste, or simply trying to stop buying things they already have at home.
How to use it
For each day Monday through Sunday, write specific items in the Items to Buy column — be precise, such as 'semi-skimmed milk 2 L' rather than just 'milk'. In Store Section, note where in the shop that item lives: produce, dairy, bakery, freezer, or dry goods. Use Est. Cost to jot a rough figure before you go, then correct it when you return. At the foot of the page, the Weekly Grocery Overview box holds your total budget, a short list of pantry staples running low, and a note on which meal can stretch leftovers into another day.
What is printed on the page
“Weekly Grocery Run Planner” is laid out as seven-row week: one tall row per day (Monday–Sunday) split into three labelled columns, with a three-prompt box across the foot of the page. Under the title it reads “Plan each day's shopping needs, spending, and store sections in one place.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Check your pantry before filling in the staples column — duplicates waste money and cabinet space.”.
The column headings slot holds three entries — “Items to Buy”, “Store Section” and “Est. Cost (L/oz)” — so the sheet is already filled in for grocery rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The footer prompts slot holds three entries — “Total budget for this week:”, “Pantry staples running low:” and “One meal to plan around leftovers:” — so the sheet is already filled in for grocery rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on “Weekly Grocery Run Planner”, the grocery sheet, are “Week of” for the week label and “Weekly Grocery Overview” for the footer heading.
Two things about this particular seven-row week are settings rather than text, and “Weekly Grocery Run Planner” has them set like this. Start sunday is off: start the week on Sunday instead of Monday. Foot box is on: include the three-prompt box at the foot.
Tips
Group Items to Buy by Store Section before you leave home to cut the time spent retracing steps in the aisle.
Write the estimated cost in pencil so you can update it with the actual receipt figure when you return.
Use the pantry staples prompt to list only items below a one-week supply — oils, grains, canned goods, spices.
The other layouts in this set
“Weekly Grocery Run Planner” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Pantry Restock Week” uses the day boxes with goals layout and “Grocery Spend Tracker” uses the weekly tracker table layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
Step by step
- Write the date in the 'Week of' field at the start of the week.
- For each day you plan to shop, fill in the 'Items to Buy' column with what you need.
- Write the corresponding aisle or department in the 'Store Section' column so you move through the store efficiently.
- Record a dollar figure in the 'Est. Cost' column for each item or group of items.
- Complete the 'Weekly Grocery Overview' box at the bottom with your 'Total budget for this week,' 'Pantry staples running low,' and 'One meal to plan around leftovers' before you shop.

Questions about this sheet
Is this sheet formatted for US Letter paper?
Yes, it prints on standard 8.5 × 11-inch paper with no scaling needed.
How is this different from the Pantry Restock Week planner on the site?
This sheet is built for everyday, spread-out weekly shopping — it gives you three columns per day to track items, section, and cost. The Pantry Restock Week planner is designed for a focused restock push with daily goals and a budget target set at the top.
The 'Est. Cost' column label says 'L/oz' — what does that mean for a US shopper?
That notation is a printing placeholder indicating a currency or unit field; for US use, simply write dollar amounts there.
