What this sheet is for

This sheet is for anyone who has started a cleaning session only to discover the toilet cleaner is empty or the spare mop head is nowhere to be found. It gives you one place to record every cleaning product and tool in the home, how much of each you have, and whether your current stock will last until the next shop.

How to use it

Work through the pre-filled rows under Supply and write the current amount in Qty on Hand — a count, a percentage, or a rough note such as 'half bottle' is fine. In Stored Where, note the cupboard or room so anyone in the household can find it. Use Enough For to judge whether stock will last the week, the month, or longer. Tick Buy if the item needs replacing soon. Use the four blank rows at the bottom for any specialist products specific to your home, such as a particular wood floor cleaner or oven degreaser.

What is printed on the page

“Cleaning Supplies Inventory” is laid out as item table: eighteen pre-filled item rows plus four blank ones against three labelled columns (e.g. quantity, location, status) and an optional restock tick column. Under the title it reads “Track what you have, where it is, and what needs replacing.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Check this sheet at the start of each month before your deep-clean so you are never caught short mid-task.”.

The column headings slot holds three entries — “Qty on Hand”, “Stored Where” and “Enough For” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The items slot holds 18 entries — “All-purpose surface spray”, “Disinfectant spray”, “Bathroom limescale remover”, “Toilet bowl cleaner” and “Glass & mirror cleaner” and 13 more — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Checked on” for the date label, “Supply” for the item heading and “Buy” for the restock heading.

Two things about this particular item table are settings rather than text, and “Cleaning Supplies Inventory” has them set like this. Restock column is on: add a tick-box column at the right for items to restock. Blank rows is on: add four blank rows after the pre-filled items.

Tips

Group products physically by room and record that in Stored Where — it halves the time spent searching during a clean.

Write the date you opened a new bottle lightly in pencil on the label; this tells you how fast you actually use each product.

Check this sheet before placing any online grocery order, not only on cleaning day, to avoid emergency single-item purchases.

The other layouts in this set

“Cleaning Supplies Inventory” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Deep-Clean Supply Checklist” uses the grouped sections layout and “Cleaning Cupboard Stock Log” uses the blank grid with legend layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
