Who this sheet is for

This certificate is for a student who has completed a structured exam study program and wants a signed record of that effort. It is designed to be filled in and signed by both the student and a parent or tutor.

What this sheet is for

This certificate marks the completion of a planned study program ahead of an exam. It is most useful at the end of a study period, when a student has worked through a schedule, covered the required subject matter and met their study goals. Presenting it at that point gives the effort a concrete endpoint and acknowledges the discipline involved before results arrive.

How to use it

Write the student's name on the name line beneath 'This certifies that'. The achievement line reads 'has completed a structured exam study program' and the detail line confirms that all topics and study goals were met — add the subject or exam name in the space provided if your layout allows a note. Fill in the date of the exam rather than today's date so the certificate stays meaningful as a record. The student signs on the left line; a parent or tutor signs on the right. Press a gold or silver sticker into the circular seal to finish the certificate.

What is printed on the page

“Exam Preparation Certificate” is laid out as classic border: a double-rule frame with everything centred: a large title, a presenter line, 'This certifies that' over a long name line, the achievement and detail lines, and date and signature lines along the foot. Landscape. Under the title it reads “Awarded for completing a full study program”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Keep this certificate with your study notes as a record of the work you put in before the exam.”.

The remaining labels on “Exam Preparation Certificate”, the study sheet, are “This certifies that” for the presented label, “has completed a structured exam study program” for the achievement line, “covering all required topics and meeting every scheduled study goal” for the detail line, “Date of exam” for the date label, “Student signature” for the signature label and “Parent / Tutor” for the second signature label.

Two things about this particular classic border are settings rather than text, and “Exam Preparation Certificate” has them set like this. Two signatures is on: two signature lines instead of one. Seal is on: print an empty circular seal for a sticker or a stamp.

Tips

Write the specific subject and exam board in pencil on the back so the certificate doubles as a study record.

Present the certificate the evening before the exam, not after, to reinforce that the preparation itself is the achievement.

If a student completes more than one subject study cycle, print a separate certificate for each subject to track the full workload.

The other layouts in this set

“Exam Preparation Certificate” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Focused Study Session Award” uses the modern band layout and “Study Champion Certificate” uses the kids playful layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.

Step by step

  1. Print the sheet in landscape orientation on standard US Letter paper.
  2. Write the student's full name on the long line beneath "This certifies that."
  3. Fill in the "Date of exam" field with the scheduled exam date.
  4. Have the student sign on the "Student signature" line and the parent or tutor sign on the "Parent / Tutor" line.
  5. Store the completed certificate with the student's study notes as directed by the footer tip.

Questions about this sheet

What paper size and orientation should I use?

Print on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) in landscape orientation so the double-rule border and all centerd text print at the intended scale.

Can the "Parent / Tutor" line be signed by a school teacher instead?

The line is labeled "Parent / Tutor" on the printed sheet, so any supervising adult who oversaw the study program can sign it — the label describes the role, not a specific relationship.

Is there space to write the subject or exam name anywhere on the certificate?

The printed "detail line" reads "covering all required topics and meeting every scheduled study goal" and does not include a subject-name field, so you may write the subject name in the margin or on the back for your own records.
