What this sheet is for
This sheet gives a child one clear place to see every daily chore they are responsible for and to tick each one off as it is done. It works best pinned somewhere visible — a bedroom door or the fridge — so the child can mark it themselves. Parents reach for it when verbal reminders are not working and a visual record is needed to build consistency over four or five weeks.
How to use it
Write the child's name and the current month in the Month / Year field at the top right. Under Daily Chore you will find ten tasks pre-filled; cross out any that do not apply and write a replacement in the margin. Each evening the child ticks the numbered box for that day against every chore they completed. At the end of the month, count the ticks in each row and write the total in the Days done column. Use the Notes & rewards this month box at the foot to record agreed rewards, problem weeks, or chores you want to swap out next month.
What is printed on the page
“Kids Daily Chore Tracker” is laid out as 30-day grid: ten labelled habit rows against 31 numbered day columns of tick boxes, an optional totals column, and a notes box at the foot. Under the title it reads “Track one child's ten daily and weekly chores across a full month.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Count each tick at month end and compare weeks — consistency matters more than a perfect score.”.
The habit labels slot holds ten entries — “Make bed”, “Put dirty clothes in basket”, “Tidy bedroom floor”, “Clear own plate after meals” and “Wipe down place at table” and five more — so the sheet is already filled in for chores rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on “Kids Daily Chore Tracker”, the chores sheet, are “Month / Year” for the month label, “Daily Chore” for the habits heading, “Days done” for the total heading and “Notes & rewards this month” for the notes heading.
Two things about this particular 30-day grid are settings rather than text, and “Kids Daily Chore Tracker” has them set like this. Totals column is on: add a totals column at the right of the grid. Notes box is on: include the notes box at the foot.
Tips
Let the child tick the boxes themselves — ownership of the record is what makes the habit stick over weeks.
Set a consistent time to review the sheet together, such as Sunday evening, so progress is discussed regularly.
Use the Days done totals to agree a small reward threshold, for example 20 or more days earns a chosen activity at month end.
The other layouts in this set
“Kids Daily Chore Tracker” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Family Chore Rotation Chart” uses the weekly grid layout and “My Bedtime Tidy Habit” uses the single habit layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
