What this sheet is for
Shared kitchens collect grease, limescale and food residue faster than any other room in a home. This chart is for households, flatshares or families who want every deep-clean task covered without the same person scrubbing the oven every time. It gives four people a clear personal column and a built-in rotation so effort stays balanced week to week.
How to use it
Write each person's name on the lines under the Person heading at the top of their column. Work down the Cleaning Task column and tick each cell when the job is fully done — not just started. The rotation note beneath the grid tells you to shift one column right each week, so assignments cycle automatically. Use the Supplies Needed / Notes box at the foot to record what is running low — degreaser, bin liners, descaling tablets — so whoever shops next knows what to buy.
What is printed on the page
“Kitchen Deep-Clean Rota” is laid out as by person: ten chores down the side against three (or four) name columns with a tick box in every cell, a line to write each name on, a rotation note under the grid and a notes box at the foot. Landscape. Under the title it reads “Shared kitchen cleaning tasks assigned by person, tracked weekly.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Wipe down surfaces before ticking a box — a quick visual check prevents missed grease or residue.”.
The task labels slot holds ten entries — “Clean hob / stovetop & drip pans”, “Degrease oven interior & racks”, “Wipe fridge shelves & door seals”, “Scrub sink, tap & drain strainer” and “Clean microwave inside & turntable” and five more — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on “Kitchen Deep-Clean Rota”, the cleaning sheet, are “Week of” for the week label, “Cleaning Task” for the task heading, “Person” for the person heading, “Shift one column to the right each week so no one holds the same tasks.” for the rotation note and “Supplies Needed / Notes” for the notes heading.
Two things about this particular by person are settings rather than text, and “Kitchen Deep-Clean Rota” has them set like this. Four people is on (the opposite of the layout's default): four name columns instead of three. Notes box is on: include the notes box at the foot.
Tips
Photograph the oven and fridge before starting; the image shows hidden spots text alone doesn't catch.
Keep a dedicated kitchen cleaning caddy so each person grabs the same tools without hunting through cupboards.
Date the rotation note each week in pencil so disputes about whose turn it is are settled quickly.
The other layouts in this set
“Kitchen Deep-Clean Rota” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Weekly Bathroom Cleaning Chart” uses the weekly grid layout and “After-School Tidy Routine” uses the daily strip layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
