About these travel Checklist sheets

These three printable checklists cover the practical side of international travel, each targeting a different stage or situation. The International Flight Day Checklist keeps you on track from front door to cruising altitude. The Airport Hotel Layover Checklist guides you through an overnight or extended stopover from hotel check-in back to the departure gate. The First-Time Passport Trip Checklist works backwards from your travel date across four planning phases, from obtaining documents to post-trip admin.

Choosing between them

Print the First-Time Passport Trip Checklist as soon as you book any trip that requires a passport you do not yet hold, or when you need a visa — it starts weeks or months before departure. Add the International Flight Day Checklist once your travel date is confirmed; it is equally useful for seasoned travellers on an unfamiliar route. Only print the Airport Hotel Layover Checklist if your itinerary includes a stopover long enough to leave the terminal and check into a hotel, typically eight hours or more.

What each sheet contains

“International Flight Day Checklist” is the single column layout — three headed sections of seven pre-filled checkbox items each down one column, optional blank extra lines per section, and a notes box at the foot. Its section 1 items run to seven entries, starting with “Passport valid for 6+ months beyond return date”, “Printed or downloaded boarding pass confirmed” and “Travel insurance documents saved offline”.

“Airport Hotel Layover Checklist” is the two columns layout — four headed sections of eight pre-filled checkbox items each, two sections per column, with a notes box across the foot. Its section 1 items run to eight entries, starting with “Note hotel shuttle frequency / stop”, “Confirm check-in time with front desk” and “Store large bags in room or left luggage”.

“First-Time Passport Trip Checklist” is the phased timeline layout — four time-phased sections (e.g. '8 weeks before', 'Day of') of six pre-filled items each, with an optional done-date column on the right. Its phase 1 items run to six entries, starting with “Apply for passport — allow 10–13 weeks standard processing”, “Check destination's entry requirements and visa rules” and “Book flights and save confirmation email as PDF”.

Printing

Each of the three travel Checklist sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
