What this sheet is for

Newborn and infant healthcare spending is unpredictable. A well-child check one week, an unplanned GP visit the next, then a prescription, a lactation consultant, or hired hospital-grade equipment. Without a single place to record every payment and any amount your insurer or health scheme returns, costs blur together quickly and reimbursements get missed entirely. This sheet gives you that single place.

How to use it

Write the month or quarter and your starting health-fund or out-of-pocket allowance on the opening line. For each expense, fill the date and the Item or Provider column — be specific, for example 'six-week check, Dr Osei' or 'rotavirus vaccine, pharmacy'. Enter the full cost in Paid Out, then subtract it from the previous Balance Left. When an insurer or government scheme refunds part of it, log the same date and description and enter the refund amount under Reimbursed, adding it back to the balance. Use the goal box to record the maximum you aim to spend out of pocket before the period ends.

What is printed on the page

“Baby Medical Costs Tracker” is laid out as running ledger: an opening-balance line, a 24-row ledger with date, description, in, out and running balance columns, and a goal box at the foot. Tips

Log hired equipment such as a CPAP monitor or breast pump separately so you can track the daily rental cost against any allowance.
