About these baby Budget Sheet sheets
All three sheets help parents put numbers to the cost of a new baby, but each covers different ground. The New Baby Monthly Budget compares household income against infant expenses month by month. The Baby First-Year Supply Budget maps category spending — feeding, nappies, clothing and gear — across all twelve months. The Baby Medical Costs Tracker keeps a running ledger of out-of-pocket health costs. Used together, they give a complete financial picture of the first year.
Choosing between them
Start with the New Baby Monthly Budget if you need to know whether your household income covers basic outgoings after the baby arrives, particularly if one parent has reduced their working hours. Choose the Baby First-Year Supply Budget if you are planning purchases in advance or comparing costs month by month as the baby grows. Use the Baby Medical Costs Tracker if you have private health cover with an excess, a chronic condition requiring frequent visits, or simply want a clear record of every health-related receipt for tax or insurance purposes.
What each sheet contains
“New Baby Monthly Budget” is the income and expenses layout — a four-row income table, a fourteen-row expense table with pre-filled category labels and budgeted / actual / difference columns, and three summary totals at the foot. Its expense categories run to 14 entries, starting with “Rent / Mortgage”, “Childcare / Nursery fees” and “Formula / Breast pump supplies”.
“Baby First-Year Supply Budget” is the category envelopes layout — six boxed spending categories in a 2 × 3 grid, each with a budget line and six item / amount entry rows, and a totals strip at the foot. Its category labels run to six entries, starting with “Feeding Supplies”, “Nappies & Wipes” and “Clothing & Footwear”.
“Baby Medical Costs Tracker” is the running ledger layout — an opening-balance line, a 24-row ledger with date, description, in, out and running balance columns, and a goal box at the foot. Its column headings run to three entries, starting with “Item or Provider”, “Reimbursed” and “Paid Out”.
Printing
Each of the three baby Budget Sheet sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
