About these fitness Monthly Calendar sheets

These three printable sheets cover the planning and logging side of a training month. The Strength Training Monthly Log uses a standard month grid to record lifts, sets, and rest days. The Monthly Cardio Training Calendar adds a sidebar for tracking distances and an endurance goal across the same grid. The Rest and Recovery Month Log takes a different approach, listing each date in sequence so athletes can log sleep, soreness, and recovery sessions in detail.

Choosing between them

Use the Strength Training Monthly Log if your week is built around weighted exercises and you want to track sets and lift progress at a glance. Choose the Monthly Cardio Training Calendar if you are following a running, cycling, or swimming plan and need to record distances and monitor progress toward a time or mileage target. Pick the Rest and Recovery Month Log if recovery is the missing piece in your training, or if you are returning from injury and need to monitor sleep, soreness, and active recovery day by day.

What each sheet contains

“Strength Training Monthly Log” is the classic month grid layout — a full-width 7 × 6 month grid with a date corner in every cell and three labelled boxes across the foot (e.g. key dates, goals, notes). Its box headings run to three entries, starting with “This Month's Lift Goals”, “Scheduled Deload / Rest” and “Progress Notes”.

“Monthly Cardio Training Calendar” is the grid with sidebar layout — a 7 × 6 month grid taking two-thirds of the width, with a sidebar of four goal lines, a six-item checklist and a reminder box. Its checklist items run to six entries, starting with “Hit weekly distance target”, “Complete one long run/ride” and “Log resting heart rate”.

“Rest & Recovery Month Log” is the day list layout — days 1–31 as two columns of numbered writing lines, a 'focus this month' box at the top and a two-prompt review at the bottom. Its review prompts run to two entries, starting with “Which week did you feel most recovered, and why?” and “What will you change about rest next month?”.

Printing

Each of the three fitness Monthly Calendar sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
