About these meal Planning Monthly Calendar sheets
These three monthly meal-planning sheets share the same purpose — mapping out a full month of food before you shop or cook — but each one is built around a different approach to the kitchen. The Monthly Meal Planner gives you an open grid for every meal of every day. Cook From the Freezer Month tracks what you pull from frozen stock. Eat Down the Pantry Month logs meals built around what you already have on the shelves.
Choosing between them
Use the Monthly Meal Planner if you plan meals from scratch each month and want one place to record breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks across every day. Switch to Cook From the Freezer Month if your freezer holds batch-cooked meals, bulk-bought proteins, or leftovers you keep forgetting to use, and you want to work through them systematically. Choose Eat Down the Pantry Month before a move, a tight budget period, or a big restock — any time the goal is to cook from existing supplies rather than buy new ones.
What each sheet contains
“Monthly Meal Planner” is the classic month grid layout — a full-width 7 × 6 month grid with a date corner in every cell and three labelled boxes across the foot (e.g. key dates, goals, notes). Its box headings run to three entries, starting with “Prep & batch cook days”, “Ingredients to use up” and “Recurring meals this month”.
“Cook From the Freezer Month” is the grid with sidebar layout — a 7 × 6 month grid taking two-thirds of the width, with a sidebar of four goal lines, a six-item checklist and a reminder box. Its checklist items run to six entries, starting with “Audit freezer — list contents”, “Label all unlabelled bags” and “Use oldest item first”.
“Eat Down the Pantry Month” is the day list layout — days 1–31 as two columns of numbered writing lines, a 'focus this month' box at the top and a two-prompt review at the bottom. Its review prompts run to two entries, starting with “Which ingredient ran out fastest and why?” and “What did you still waste, and how will you avoid it?”.
Printing
Each of the three meal Planning Monthly Calendar sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
