About these travel Journal Page sheets

These three guided journal pages cover different phases of travel, each with a fixed structure that prompts you to write rather than face a blank page. The Day in Transit Journal follows a moving travel day from departure to arrival. First Night in a New Place captures the sensory and emotional weight of settling somewhere unfamiliar. The Shore Day Journal logs a full day spent exploring a destination. Together they account for most of the days a trip contains.

Choosing between them

Use the Day in Transit Journal on any day dominated by flights, trains, ferries, or long drives, including travel days that end in a new city. Switch to First Night in a New Place on the evening you arrive somewhere you have not stayed before, whether that is a single overnight stop or the start of a two-week stay. The Shore Day Journal suits any day when you leave your accommodation to explore, eat, and spend, including port calls, city days, and excursions on a longer trip.

What each sheet contains

“Day in Transit Journal” is the guided prompts layout — a five-point labelled scale at the top, five prompts each with ruled writing lines beneath, and a closing box at the foot. Its scale labels run to five entries, starting with “Drained”, “Tired” and “Steady”.

“First Night in a New Place” is the two-column reflection layout — three short prompts with lines down the left column, a free ruled writing column on the right, and a three-line list box across the foot. Its left prompts run to three entries, starting with “Where am I, and how did I get here?”, “What caught my attention first?” and “What feels different from home?”.

“Shore Day Journal” is the daily log journal layout — four quick-fill fields across the top, a 1–10 rating row, two long prompts with generous writing lines, and a 'tomorrow' box at the foot. Its field labels run to four entries, starting with “Location / Port”, “Weather” and “Distance walked”.

Printing

Each of the three travel Journal Page sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
